According to reports in the Daily Mail, Everton Football Club are considering a £10 million move for wantaway Chelsea FC striker Demba Ba to replace loanee Romelu Lukaku next season. The 28 year old Senegalese striker was a largely forgotten man at Chelsea for most of the season until he scored the dramatic late winner against PSG in the Champions League quarterfinals.

He was then rewarded for his winner with starts against Swansea City and Liverpool and scored the winners in both matches. Despite these important goals for Chelsea, apparently the club have told Demba Ba that he can find a new club in the summer.

An excerpt from the Daily Mail on Everton moving for Demba Ba:

"“The Merseysiders made an enquiry for the French-born Senegal striker last summer before landing Lukaku and are understood to be weighing up another move. The club’s need for reinforcements is clear as the club look to challenge for a Champions League spot again with the added distraction of Europa League football next season.Chelsea have reportedly informed Bemba Ba he can leave the club this summer, while the striker himself has confirmed he wants to move after becoming disillusioned under Jose Mourinho.”"

Ba will have no shortage of suitors with the Daily Mail claiming that West Ham, West Bromwich Albion, Fenerbahce, and Everton will all be vying for the striker’s signature. If those are his four choices then Everton would be the clear choice as it is the “best” club for him. He will have to compete with Andy Carrol at West Ham and West Brom is a club that is usually fighting off relegation.

More from Chelsea FC News

Ba is a Muslim and may want to continue his career in a majority Muslim in Turkey but that would have nothing to do with the football. Everton play beautiful attacking football under Roberto Martinez and Demba Ba will score goals aplenty for another team in blue. He has been a fine servant for the club and if he does indeed move to Everton or any other club we would wish him nothing but the best in the rest of his career.
