First, let me be completely honest here. This is a fan driven website, and while I try to be impartial sometimes, I can’t always be. I love this club, and I’ll always believe Chelsea are the best team not just in England, but the entire world. So, keep that in mind while reading my short prediction for the 2014/15 Chelsea FC season.

2014/15 Barclay’s Premier League
Predicted finish: 1st.

Chelsea were arguably the best (or at least most consistent) team in the Premier league last season. They maintained the best defensive record of any team in the league, and despite lacking a lethal goal scoring center forward, the Blues finished 3rd in England and made it all the way to the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League before bowing out.

With the acquisition of former Atletico Madrid stars Diego Costa and Filipe Luis, as well as reclaiming keeper Thibault Courtois from his 3 years of loans at Atleti and signing Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona, Chelsea have made quite the investment in improving the squad.

Luis should bolster an already tough back line, and allows last season standout Cesar Azpilicueta to move back to his preferred right back position. Costa is a stud of a center forward, who banged in 27 goals for last season La Liga Champions despite being fouled more than any other player in Spain. He could finally be the missing piece to the Chelsea attack, and with Costa in the fold the Blues should surely win the Premier League title for the first time since 2009/10
