  • Manchester United are set to hijack Chelsea’s pursuit of Asmir Begovic, according to The Daily Mail. The Blues are thought to be offering in the region of £8million, but might want to up the stakes to ensure the Manchester club doesn’t cut in front of them. ‘Stoke want in the region of £10million for their keeper and believe United will move for the keeper if De Gea’s move to Spain.’
  • The Metro claims that Jose Mourinho is making a move for Jamaican striker Leon Bailey. The 17-year-old currently plies his trade with Slovakian outfit Trencin and could be brought in to sit as a third striker behind Radamel Falcao and Diego Costa. It is believed that a £1million bid would suffice.
  • Mohamed Salah’s increasingly complicated future has been apparently sorted, state The Express. Citing Italian sources, the Egyptian winger has agreed a long-term deal with Inter Milan, after publicly snubbing Fiorentina.

  • Despite the announcement of a Falcao deal, The Mirror claims that QPR’s Charlie Austin is reportedly still holding out for a Chelsea bid. ‘Charlie Austin is keeping West Ham and Newcastle sweating while he waits for Chelsea to come in for him.’ A deal is unlikely to materialise, unless Loic Remy moves on this summer.
  • The Blues are set to levy Filipe Luis against a move for Arda Turan, writes The Express. If the full-back is to return to Atlético Madrid, Mourinho would be expecting them to facilitate a transfer for the Turkish winger to Stamford Bridge. ‘Chelsea are willing to part ways with Luis, but have told the Spaniards not to stand in the way of their approach for Turan’.
  • Lastly, Juventus are open to taking Juan Cuadrado on loan, according to The Evening Standard. Quoting the Italian club’s director, it appears as though the Colombian may be on his way back to Italy next season. ‘If Chelsea were open to releasing him on loan, we’d be very happy with that,’ said Guiseppe Marotta.
