The football season may be over, but the transfer season is in full swing. It’s the sixth of the month, so let’s take a look at what transfer rumours concerning Chelsea FC are flying around the press this morning.

  • Josh McEachran’s torrid time at Stamford Bridge is set to come to an end, reports The Guardian. The 22-year-old’s destination? Brentford FC. Yep. ‘Chelsea and Brentford are close to finalising a deal that will see Josh McEachran end his 15-year association with the Premier League champions’. We’ll have more on-site later.

  • We’ve got a women’s football transfer rumour today as well. The Blues are looking bring Reading’s Fran Kirby into the their women’s set-up, writes BBC Sport. ‘It is understood that Kirby, who is contracted with Reading until 2018, could attract a record transfer fee of between £40,000 and £60,000.’
  • Chelsea are to confirm the signing of Kenedy this week, according to The Metro. In a deal that was seemingly agreed upon weeks ago, the official word will come at some point in the next few days. Why don’t you find out who he is until then?

  • Arsenal have move ahead of the Blues in a race for Barcelona’s Munir El Haddadi, claims The Daily Star. I didn’t really even know Chelsea were in the hunt for the 19-year-old forward to begin with, so there’s that. There’s not much more to see here.
  • Lastly, The Express reports that Arda Turan had never had contact with Chelsea. The winger, who signed for Barcelona yesterday, never spoke with the club despite speculation that he was close to a deal with the Blues. ‘We didn’t talk with Chelsea at any moment,’ said his agent, Ahmet Bulut.
