Frank Lampard expresses desire to return to Chelsea

Frank Lampard has confirmed that he hopes to be a part of Chelsea once he hangs up his boots, noting that he would be honoured to have a role.

In a feature with New York City FC’s website, Frank Lampard sits down to answer questions posed on Twitter by fans. Responding to a question about his goals following retirement, Lampard expressed his desire to be back at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea.

"I’ll always be back at Chelsea in some way. I’m not sure if I’ll have a role there, that’s up to the club. I would be very honoured if I was offered one. Whether I do or I don’t, I’ll always be regularly coming back to watch games at Chelsea because I have such a strong link and a bond with the club."
