Chelsea welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge on Friday night. Here are some score predictions from The Pride Of London staff with David Luiz set to re-debut.

In a Friday night showcase, Chelsea and Liverpool are set to do battle at Stamford Bridge. It should be an entertaining affair, not least because it will see David Luiz make his second Blues debut. Here are some score predictions with this week’s assist coming from random Twitter follower @jay7pollitt!

Jay: Chelsea 3 – 1 Liverpool. Another great win for the Blues with Costa scoring twice and Willian grabbing the other (killer free kick). Blue army marches on.

Barrett Rouen: Blues win 3-2. Liverpool are better than they have been in recent years but still lack in overall quality. The home team will use their recently found pragmatism to great effect and grind out a win over their North Western rivals.

Travis Tyler: 4-2 to the Blues. Both clubs play an aggressive, high scoring style of play but both are virtually incapable of finishing with a clean sheet. So it will come down to which defense is slightly less poor on the day, and the return of David Luiz will see the hosts through.

Scott Brant: Chelsea 3-2 Liverpool. Both squads come out flying, becoming more defensive as the match goes on. The Blues with a late goal to seal a much needed win after the draw with Swansea City.

Daniel McClue: 2-1 Blues. A more tepid game than people are expecting as Oscar nets a 53th minute winner. Meanwhile, David Luiz does absolutely fine in his first game back.

More from The Pride of London

Andre Carlisle: 3-1. I’ve skewed hesitant in my predictions so far but I think the timing is right for Antonio Conte’s men to make a statement (Klopp may sense this too given his media gushing of all-things CFC). There’s no chance the Blues keep a clean sheet but every chance Liverpool give multiple opportunities to players looking to atone for a poor showing at Swansea – lookin’ at you, Eden.

Drew Hooper: 3-2 Liverpool. As much as it pains me to say I think Liverpool pulls it out. Luiz makes his return and gets sent off. Costa continues to be a hero but comes up short with Hazard not adding much support.

Brendan McDonnell: 4-3. HEAVY. METAL. FOOTBALL! I was already looking forward to this match as I’m a fan of watching Klopp’s team play, but now that our beloved Sideshow Bob is leading the back four…vroom baby! The talking points after this match will be around Luiz as he likely nets one impossible goal and, equally likely, makes a tactical error resulting in one. Blues win, though.

Ajitesh Rasgotra: 3-3. Two poor defences (Luiz makes Conte’s worse) results in a goal fest. Strap in.

Here is how we stand at the moment. The random Twitter followers are really showing that they know better. There are five points on offer for a correct scoreline and three for just getting the result.
