Chelsea are reportedly considering trying to take advantage of Premier League strugglers Everton amid a so-called crisis at Goodison Park.

CFC legend Frank Lampard has been sacked as Everton manager. Another high profile boss, Former Leeds chief Marcelo Bielsa, might replace Lampard on Merseyside, apparently. Other candidates are also said to be in the running and are naturally receiving attention from the bookmakers.

In the meantime, the second from bottom EPL club seems to be in disarray. For cunning, predatory and rich division rivals, opportunities to scope out the Toffees’ prominent assets arise. The Blues have been linked with EFC’s Anthony Gordon before, now that story has reignited. In addition to that, as Graham Potter’s side looks to take advantage of Everton’s unknown and awkward position, a bid may materialise for Amadou Onana as well.

Chelsea target Lyon rightback as bid supposedly already made

Spending could, or probably will, reach £500million in the Todd Boehly CFC era very soon. The chairman has overseen and commissioned an overabundance of signings since taking the helm at Stamford Bridge. And Chelsea supporters should be encouraged, trust me: not all will work out, but some of the incoming talent is sure to light up the English top-flight.

I would say that Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix in particular are outstanding, but others such as Noni Madueke and Christopher Nkunku, who’ll join the Blues in the summer, are potential standouts who can transform the CFC attack. And how much did the front line need rejuvenation, improvement and freshening?!

However, the latest addition to the west London outfit’s roster could be a defender. Graham Potter, and Thomas Tuchel before him, wanted to find adequate cover for Reece James at rightback. Judging by James’s injury problems and time on the sideline – the England defender needs it!

Arguably Chelsea’s best player, James is required fit at the most testing of times, in the most difficult of matches. Enter Malo Gusto. It appears that CFC wish for his signature, and he desires a move to England’s capital. Although, Lyon do not want to sell this month. Personal terms have supposedly already been agreed so watch this space!
