2nd Everton Goal (69’) – A response came from Everton right away with Steven Naismith scoring to continue his surprising start to the season. Running into space on the left side of the Chelsea defense, he was able to coolly finish around Thibaut Courtois.

A poor challenge by Ramires was skirted past by Aiden McGeady who moved into open space in the middle of the field. Lukaku made a run towards the penalty spot attracting the attention of Cahill and Ivanovic, allowing Steven Naismith to wheel around the exposed back line. Willian was too far up field to put a challenge on the Scotsman who received an easy pass from McGeady and shot beyond the reach of Courtois.

When Ivanovic plays full back position he does have a tendency to tuck into his occasionally played center back position. When there isn’t help coming from the wingers tracking back, Chelsea can be vulnerable to attacks coming from wide positions.
