Chelsea FC Need A Change
By Lee Fraser
Players
The players I have used are what we have right now and are the ones that I believe are currently best suited to this particular formation.
I haven’t used Ramires or Oscar in this line up although on recent form maybe either of them could be there in place of Cesc Fabregas.
Oscar is a very good #10 who can play central midfield because of his work rate and tackling, but the whole point of splitting the team is that the attacking players don’t have to defend, hence his omission and Fabregas’ inclusion.
Ramires for all his undoubted energy levels again is not included. He is neither a sitting defensive midfielder, nor is he a skilful attacking central midfielder, and that is the conundrum in using him here.
There is no place for Branislav Ivanovic either. Maybe there should be because his best role is as a solid defender, not an attacking wingback, but Cesar Azpilicueta is a right back and should play as a right back! This does of course mean that Baba Rahman is picked as left back, maybe in January that will change?
So that is my suggestion for Chelsea FC moving forward.
A change of tactics, formation and coaching method, not a change in manager or players (yet) and the addition of two members to the coaching staff.

What do you think though?
Is it too simplistic? Too Football Manager orientated? Would getting back to an old school method of coaching help rebuild the players confidence and improve results? Let us know in the comments below!
