Chelsea FC: Top 10 Oscar Goals
7. Shakhtar Donetsk, 07/11/12
Champions League, Stamford Bridge
Many may argue that this effort should be placed higher on the list, but he has scored some awesome goals in his time at Stamford Bridge.
On the end of a quick Chelsea counter attack, a ball in search of a marauding Branislav Ivanovic was well read by Shakhtar goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov. Unfortunately for the Ukrainians, his clearance left much to be desired as he blindly headed it into the centre circle.
Oscar was conveniently placed to take the header/clearance thing down on his chest, before unleashing his right foot. The Brazilian brilliantly cut across the ball to get the perfect flat and swerving trajectory that ensured that Pyatov would not put a mitt on it as he tracked back to his goal.
This 3-2 win over Shakhtar would keep Chelsea’s hopes of progressing past the group stages alive, but they would fail to materialise. Roberto Di Matteo was soon sacked and Rafa Benitez would come in to steer the Blues to Europa League glory.
