Chelsea predicted XI for Arsenal: A Boxing Day best XI
Christian Pulisic (No.10), Right Winger, United States
Christian Pulisic’s return has brought a lot of venom in this Chelsea attack. His ability to drag defenders out of position creates space for other forwards to run into, and that is a special quality. Pulisic’s Chelsea career has been filled with unfortunate injuries. However, when fit, Pulisic runs the show and he seems to be slowly getting back into his rhythm. Arsenal seems like the perfect stage to properly announce his comeback, so be ready to see Captain America!
Tammy Abraham (No.9), Striker, England
Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud seem to be having a fun competition up top. The healthy battle is extremely beneficial for Chelsea as it means that they have a constant source of goals. Abraham makes everyone around him better, something which has been discussed extensively in the past couple of weeks. Abraham will start against Arsenal after his brace last week, and who better than him to open the scoring against the Gunners.
Timo Werner (No.11), Left Winger, Germany
Yes, Timo Werner is lacking the confidence to finish chances. But does that mean that he should be written off? Absolutely no. Werner is a machine, and while he still adjusts to the league, his movement and passing remain invaluable to Chelsea. It is time for Timo Werner to return to scoring ways and Arsenal is the ideal opportunity.
