Chelsea predicted XI against Brighton: A momentary normalcy

Christian Pulisic (No. 10) Right Forward, USA

Christian Pulisic is returning to his true self. He has been electric in the past 3-4 games, where he has carried the ball forward with determination and has often been fouled in the process. He was the most fouled player in the physically demanding second leg against Porto, where he put in a match-winning shift in what was one of the best performances from a player without a goal contribution in recent times. Against Brighton, Pulisic will get a chance to improve further and cement his place in the lineup.

Timo Werner (No. 11) Centre Forward, Germany

Timo Werner put in a brilliant shift against Manchester City. After playing quite poorly against Porto in the first leg, Werner was benched for a couple of games with other forwards doing well. However, he was given a chance in the massive game against City, and he did some great work. Werner created the ultimate winner that took Chelsea through to the finals of the FA Cup. His sheer pace proved to be the difference between the two sides as he beat his marker and chose the right option by finding Ziyech. His confidence is still down, but he played well and should be given an opportunity to build upon that performance.

Hakim Ziyech (No. 22) Left Forward, Morocco

Hakim Ziyech has scored some crucial goals in the past 4-5 games. He scored the winner against Manchester City as he showed massive composure to finish the goal. The Moroccan also scored the goal against Atletico Madrid in the second leg. His presence has been beneficial for the Blues, and he is slowly getting into his groove. Mason Mount has started a large number of games. While he is an absolute machine, he should be given rest with others carrying the attacking burden for the game.
