In today’s video we bring you a sight that is rare to see, your favorite Chelsea FC players looking like less than spectacular athletes as they take on the NBA’s #Halfcourt Challenge. The concept is pretty simple, try to make as many shots as you can from halfcourt and make it a competition with you and your buddies. The Chelsea boys Eden Hazard, Demba Ba, David Luiz, Andre Schurrle, and Petr Cech decided to test themselves in a sport that they do not seem to be very good at. Each player stepped up, gave a quick bio, and let us know what their favorite team is. There were no real surprises there as the players rattled off names like the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers.

Check out the video here:

The only one who seemed to really know what they were doing was Petr Cech who had a pretty nice jumpshot going on. Demba Ba also looked like he knew what he was doing and his shot seemed natural. The rest of the lads seemed content to just chuck the ball at the hoop with predictable results. With the way they were all shooting though it looks like Chelsea fans have no need to worry about their favorite players defecting to the NBA anytime soon.

This kind of cross marketing is fantastic as it gives NBA fans who might not even know who or what Chelsea FC is a chance to meet some of its stars. It also gives Chelsea fans the chance to see their players let loose and enjoy themselves a bit after training. Now if somebody pulled a muscle heaving one of those halfcourt shots, the NBA might be getting some interesting letters from Blues faithful.
