Chelsea FC Club Legend Kerry Dixon was arrested on suspicion of dealing cocaine, and the London club may be severing ties with their former striker, according to reports.

While the Luton born former striker only works with the club on a freelance basis, the club may sever all contact with Dixon, a longtime fan favorite from the 80’s. Kerry Dixon, who sits 3rd in the clubs all time scoring list with 193 goals in his 9 years at Stamford Bridge, has worked as a pundit on Chelsea TV as well as being involved with stadium tours and entertaining guests with his tales from the 80’s at Stamford Bridges many hospitality lounges on match-days.

Chelsea have refused to comment on the situation, but have made it clear he is only employee in an ad-hoc capacity by the London club.

Kerry Dixon got his start with Reading FC after they signed him for £20,000 in 1980 after playing with Non-League sides Chesham United and Dunstable. Dixon scored 51 league goals in 116 appearances for the Royals. Chelsea, then in the Second Division, agreed to a £150,000 transfer fee following the 1982 season that saw them narrowly avoid dropping into the Third Division. Dixon was joined by fellow club legend ‘Wee’ Pat Nevin in the summer of 1983, and the Boys in Blue went on to win promotion to the First Division, with Dixon scoring a hat trick against Leeds United to secure promotion for the Chelsea that season.

Dixon went on the play for Southampton, Luton Town, Millwall, Watford and Doncaster Rovers to finish out his professional career. He also earned 8 caps with the English National side.
