In an interview with Chelsea FC’s official website, Eden Hazard appeared to be OK about José Mourinho’s criticism of him following the defeat to Atlético Madrid in the Champions League Semifinal at Stamford Bridge, which knocked Chelsea out of the competition.

Hazard criticized Mourinho’s tactics in the game, saying that Chelsea “was not meant to play football,” which led Mourinho to hit back at Hazard, saying that “he is not the kind of player to sacrifice himself for the team.”

This little rift fanned the ongoing flames of the rumors that have swirled around the Belgian playmaker of a possible move to French-giants PSG.

However, Hazard said in the interview with the club’s website that, “‘I would prefer him to speak like this rather than say he’s the best and doesn’t need to work. I know I have to do better, in training and on the pitch,” Hazard said.

“If I can score more I will score more and next season I hope I will be better.”

Hazard also added in the interview that he is excited for next season and hopes that Chelsea can build off this season to win some trophies.

"“Next season, with this team, we can win the Premier League and maybe the Champions League as well. If we win trophies it will be a great season for Chelsea. My objectives here are to win trophies, to play games, to score goals and to enjoy my time on the pitch. As a player I want to continue working hard and enjoy playing as I have this year. I always want to score more goals and improve, that is a big objective.”"

This interview should do well to quell any speculation of Hazard leaving the club as he looks extremely committed to winning trophies at Chelsea and be the centerpiece of Mourinho’s project at the club.
