The Chelsea FC official website is doing a series on some of the players’ first big game as either a supporter or player. The answers from defenders Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta are particularly interesting as one described a match he played in and the other a match he went to as a supporter. Gary Cahill

"The first I went to as a fan would have been a Sheffield Wednesday game as a kid, but I can’t remember who it was against or any details. As a player, my first big game was for Burnley against Tottenham in the League Cup (pictured below), when I was on loan from Aston Villa. It was my first game in front of a really big crowd, against Premier League opposition, and we lost 3-0. They had Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane up front that night, so it was a tough one, and they both scored. We had a run in the FA Cup that year, but that game in the League Cup stands out because it was my first one. It was tough but I wanted more of it.Source: Chelsea FC.com"

Cesar Azpilicueta

"The first game I went to was Osasuna against Real Mallorca. Osasuna were fighting relegation at the time, from the equivalent of the Championship into League One, but they won the game 1-0 and managed to stay up. It wasn’t the most entertaining match, probably because it was so important, but obviously the most important thing was that Osasuna won. I was very young at the time, I can’t remember exactly how old but my dad took me to the game and it’s a very nice memory for me.Source: Chelsea FC.com"
