AC Milan Interested In Two Chelsea FC Players

In recent days AC Milan have been linked with two Chelsea FC players in striker Fernando Torres and Marco Van Ginkel. Much of it has been rumors and speculation but we now have word from a direct source at AC Milan. It does not come any more direct than club CEO Adriano Galliani who confirmed their interest in the Chelsea duo. Both players will presumably join the Serie A club on loan hopefully with an option to buy for Fernando Torres.

More from Chelsea FC News

There are still some obstacles to the deal, mainly Fernando Torres’s wages and his supposed refusal to leave Chelsea FC. Reports have also come out saying that Torres wants the club to pay out the remainder of his contract if he is to transfer anywhere else. This would come as quite a shock if it is true because the club has done nothing but stand by their misfiring striker.

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani on the club’s interest in two Chelsea players:

"“We’re entering the final hours, let’s see if we’re able to buy an important striker. This is the main aim. [Fernando] Torres is definitely an important striker, let’s see if we’re able to get him or another player. Van Ginkel? It’s possible, we’ve written to Chelsea and we’re waiting for a response. We’re quite confident.”Source: ACMilan.com"

If this deal was to take place then it would be a great benefit to all parties involved. Chelsea FC get to offload an overpaid player and AC Milan get the striker they need after selling Mario Balotelli and they upgrade their midfield with Marco Van Ginkel.

If Fernando Torres still has some professional pride and is looking for a change of scenery then he should push for this deal to happen. He has won trophies with Chelsea but he has the chance to become the main man once again at one of the most storied clubs in Europe. Do us all a favor Fernando and let this happen, for your sake and for ours.
