Chelsea FC striker Diego Costa has been on an absolute tear in his first four games for the Blues. Costa has scored seven goals in those games and has been an all around menace since joining the club. His scoring streak began in the preseason and he has not stopped ever since.

Diego Costa himself knows that the goals will dry up and he will be unable to keep up his tremendous form. Obviously his form is unsustainable but if he can manage a goal every other game or so then that will be just fine for Chelsea and Jose Mourinho.

Diego Costa said of his current form, “I try to play in the best manner, and hopefully things will continue like this, but there will be a moment when I cannot score. That is football. Every striker has their way of playing and their strengths and a different team behind them. That is very important.

The Spanish striker also credited his teammates for the way he has been playing. Diego Costa said, “If you do not have the team behind you, then you can’t do things on your own. It all depends on the team. “I am adapting very well, although it’s not just me. The key is the group that we have. It is like a family. The squad and all the people around the team are united in our cause.”

Diego Costa also made sure to warn other Premier League defenders that he is ready for his physical play. As if his goals and rambunctious play is not enough, he said “I play in the fashion that I have to play. If I have to have a physical battle, then I can fight. If I have to play with quality, I can do that too.”

So far Diego Costa has nearly come to blows with Everton’s Seamus Coleman after some questionable fouls by the defender and was provoked by keeper Tim Howard. He has not had any other conflicts on the pitch since that incident and hopefully he can let his goals, and his play in general, do the talking for the rest of the season.
