Chelsea travel to the King Power on Saturday afternoon to take on defending Premier League champions, Leicester City. Here are some predictions for the contest.

The reigning Premier League champions take on their potential heir to the throne on Saturday as Leicester City face Chelsea. Drama is currently engulfing the Blues, with reports of a major falling out between Diego Costa and manager Antonio Conte. All we know for certain is that the striker will not be in the matchday squad. How will this game turn out?

Scott Brant: 2-1 Blues. No Diego, no problem. Eden Hazard goes off, records a brace before halftime. Kante and Matic lock up the midfield to close it out. Score will indicate it was closer than it actually was.

Travis Tyler: 3-0. The Foxes are depleted and wounded this season, and Chelsea are looking to get on another run. If Chelsea give Leicester the respect they are due (unlike Manchester City), then the Blues will have a simple day and take all 3 points.

Daniel McClue: 5-0. The Blues have a lot of pent up anger they need to release due to, well, a couple of reasons now. The team that starts will be looking for a reaction from the loss to Spurs. Michy Batshuayi, meanwhile, will show Chelsea they can accept a £85 million bid for Costa by scoring all 5 goals.

More from The Pride of London

Andre Floyd: 2-1 Leicester. It appears someone from Leicester is also proficient in the dark arts. With most of their players injured or at the AFCON and less than 24-hours before they play table-topping Chelsea, Antonio Conte heads to Leicester without Diego Costa. That somehow aside, the Foxes are missing larger numbers of important players. Chelsea, hopefully, aren’t distracted and return to winning ways against depleted, lower half opposition. Maybe Ake gets a headed goal in a substitute appearance to make us smile again, 2-0 Chelsea.

Brendan McDonnell: Oh cool…Diego Costa is in a weird place again after China have decided to offer him ridiculous wages. At least the tabloids won’t use this as an opportunity to post headlines like, “COSTA IN CRISIS” or whatever…As for the match, Chelsea are going to grind them down into a fine dust. Kante and Matic will each put on a fine pair of pants with pockets for Vardy and Mahrez while Pedro continues his <flame emoji> form.
