Kevin Garnett and a few of his Brooklyn Nets teammates were spotted taking a tour of Chelsea FC’s home Stamford Bridge. The team is in London for the next few days to play the Atlanta Hawks as part of David Stern’s efforts to take the NBA to all corners of the world. Apparently KG has been a Chelsea fan for several years and has been asked several times in interviews about his opinions on European football and his favorite player Didier Drogba. If only the King of Stamford Bridge was still in Chelsea blue to give the Big Ticket a tour.

I wasn’t even aware that Garnett was a Chelsea supporter but his fanhood speaks volumes about the increased exposure and coverage of European football in the United States. I’m not a fan of KG myself because of his on-court antics but seeing him in a Chelsea shirt might change my mind, but only a little bit.

It looks like KG and some of the Nets even got custom kits.
