This goal against Liverpool in the 2008/09 Champions League quarterfinals was Ivanovic’s first for the club. The Serbian had begun to lock down a starting spot at right back that he has yet to relinquish and instantly wrote himself in to Chelsea lore with a double against an archrival. His second goal on the night was also a towering header as Chelsea ran out as 3-1 victors at Anfield.
