In what was billed as the game of the season so far in the 2013/14 Premiership season, it was Ivanovic’s left footed strike that set the teams apart and allowed Chelsea to take all three points at the Etihad. It was a well struck finish that capped Ivanovic’s excellent match performance and while he was not voted man of the match he certainly played like one. This goal was vital to Chelsea’s title hopes and it threw the race to top of the league wide open.
