Chelsea FC loanee and Walsall FC winger Milan Lalkovic spoke to the media recently and claimed that he believes he will not be returning to Stamford Bridge after his loan spell in Walsall comes to an end. His preferred move would be to stay at Walsall but it seems only if they are promoted from League One to the Championship. His primary focus has always been getting regular first team football and the older he gets without making an impact at Chelsea the less likely it is that he will be needed. Lalkovic has complained recently on Twitter that Chelsea FC have done nothing but buy and buy players without regard of who they already have so he is clearly unsettled.
Milan Lalkovic on potentially staying at Walsall:
"“I think it will be time to leave as I want to have regular football but we will see what happens. This is my first season on a good loan and my coach trusts me and believes in me and gives me a chance. I’m not shutting the door on Chelsea but I think I will move on. Hopefully something will happen and I will be a player with Walsall in the Championship. If we go up to the Championship I will stay.”"
Lalkovic arrived at Chelsea in 2007 at just 15 years old but he has struggled to make any impact at the club. He has spent the majority of his career on loan at different clubs and a League One loan at 22 does not bode well for his future at Stamford Bridge. If he does indeed leave then not many at Chelsea will be too bothered to see him go.
