Thibaut Courtois started in goal for Belgium as expected but both Romelu Lukaku came on later in the match as substitutes. Hazard was given a rest by his manager and did nothing of note during his time on the pitch. Lukaku posed for photos before the match with his idol Drogba and shared an emotional embrace with the Ivorian after the final whistle. Drogba, as he is wont to do, found his way on to the scoresheet to pull one back after the Red Devils took a 2-0 lead and later drew level in stoppage time. This was not the first choice Belgium squad but they learned a harsh lesson about international football today.
