Chelsea FC midfielder Ramires has issued a rallying cry to his teammates in an interview with Globo Esporte. Ramires was asked about whether Chelsea are title favorites are not and he spoke plainly by saying that Manchester City is still technically the favorite. He warned against complacency and not focusing on the task at hand and assuming that the title is already won. He also credited the fans at Stamford Bridge for helping to propel the Blues to the top of the table.

Ramires’s comments here:

"“Manchester City have games in hand and a lot can happen. We have to keep focusing on a game at a time, we can’t fall into the trap of thinking that everything is okay. Any slip-up could be fatal at this point in the league. The fans at Stamford Bridge have been our 12th player, they are creating an atmosphere which really helps our team. It’s hard not to be excited right now but there is still a lot to be done before we can talk about the title.”"

With a less experienced team, focus may be an issue but not with the veterans and manager in the Chelsea locker room. Players like Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, and John Terry have won their fair share of titles, as has Jose Mourinho, so they can keep the youngsters focused on the task at hand. Ramires and Chelsea are well equipped to handle the challenges and pressure of being in first place and they will look to stay there come the end of the season.
