At number five we have David Luiz’s first ever goal for Chelsea and it was an important one. The Blues were facing Manchester United in the Premier League and were down 1-0 courtesy of a Wayne Rooney strike in the 30th minute.  Ten minutes in to the second half, Ashley Cole crossed in to the box, Branislav Ivanovic flicked it on the far post and Luiz smashed home the half-volley past Patrice Evra and left Edwin Van Der Sar rooted to his spot.

The way he swiveled his body and got over the ball instead of sending it to the stands was a wonderful technical display. This goal was a fantastic way for David Luiz to open his Chelsea account and it was a sign of the spectacular things to come.
