This goal was a display of David Luiz’s ability to hit pinpoint free kicks as much as it was a display of his confidence. He stepped up next to Frank Lampard, one of Chelsea FC’s all-time freekick artists and took it himself. His side footed finish cleared the wall but had enough pace and power on it to leave the keeper stranded, bounce off the inside of the post, and in for one of Chelsea’s four goals on the day.
