The final goal was a bit of a no-brainer as it was also a candidate for the Premier League goal of the season. In a midweek clash with Fulham, Chelsea were being stifled and commentator Ian Wright said that the match needed “something special” to break it open. Ask and you shall receive Mr. Wright.

Eden Hazard played a neat one two with Ryan Bertrand before rifling a pass to an unmarked David Luiz between Ramires and Dimitar Berbatov. The Brazilian found himself in a bit of space and launched an audacious effort towards goal. The ball twisted and curved until it buried itself in the far corner of the net, leaving Mark Schwarzer flailing and helpless. This goal showed precisely what David Luiz is capable of and will be one more reason for Chelsea fans to miss their Geezer.
