One of two signings on January 31, 2011 (the other being a certain Spanish #9) it is difficult to quantify the Chelsea career of David Luiz.  Amongst friends, I’ve likened him to the Thunder’s Russell Westbrook; moments of unmatched brilliance while equally prone to the frustrating mental mistake.

How you feel about each player says something about you as a sports fan.  Do you sacrifice the occasional misstep and embrace a true game changing talent or, do you prefer the steady, mistake free, consistency that won’t reach the same highs, but eliminates the lows? My opinion, David Luiz has been my favorite athlete in world since he joined Chelsea, so I’m the wrong guy to ask.

Replaced by:  Nemanja Matić.  Yes, I’m aware I sort of cheated here.  But Matić and Luiz’ partnership was really beginning to blossom and I feel Chelsea should feel confident with him there.
