Reports from Sky Sports claim that Chelsea FC are ready to send out their young striker Islam Feruz out on loan next season. Sky Sports claim that the loan is intended to be to a Championship side with Cardiff City, Derby County, Reading, and Brighton all rumored to be interested in the young Scotland striker.

Islam Feruz helped lead the Blues to the Under 21 Premier League title last season and has impressed at all levels of the Chelsea academy since arriving from Celtic. He is one of the most highly rated youngsters in the Chelsea youth camp and earlier this season he agreed to a deal to stay in West London until 2018. By 2018 Feruz will be 23 and if all things go according to plan, a regular in the Chelsea starting lineup. Feruz is a small and pacey striker in the mold of Sergio Aguero and Chelsea faithful will be elated if he turns out to be anywhere near as talented as the Argentine.

Feruz signed with Chelsea in 2011 after spending over five years in Celtic’s youth setup but refused a professional contract from the Glasgow club. There is some confusion about Islam Feruz’s place of birth but he and his family were granted asylum by Scotland and he chose to represent the national team despite being eligible to play for several African teams. Feruz’s eligibility is still up for grabs as he has only represented Scotland at the youth level but the Scottish FA will do whatever they can to hold on to the player.

After starring for the Chelsea youth team in the 2012 FA Youth Cup and the NextGen series, Islam Feruz made his senior team debut in the 2013 preseason against the Malaysia League XI as a substitute. He has yet to make a debut in an official league competition but at only 19 with plenty of development to do, time is certainly on the young striker’s side
