Everton chairman Bill Kenwright told Sky Sports that they are working on keeping loan players Romelu Lukaku of Chelsea and Gareth Barry of Manchester City for at least one more year. There is much speculation surrounding the future of the Chelsea striker with possible destinations including Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg, and Atletico Madrid supposedly being discussed.

Lukaku’s future has also come in doubt after Chelsea revealed their interest in Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa who would likely be first choice for the Blues. There is also the issue of what to do with strikers Fernando Torres and Demba Ba who are still officially on the squad despite being linked to moves elsewhere.
Everton chairman Bill Kenwright on the future of Romelu Lukaku and Gareth Barry:
"“Lukaku we would love to keep. Gareth Barry we would love to keep and that is ongoing work and we obviously have to add to the squad, so it is non-stop. Romelu was a great addition to Everton. I have to tell you, off the pitch as well as on, he is an extraordinary boy. As you know he speaks all those languages, he’s got a terrific family and he walks the walk as well as talking the talk.We would love to have [Lukaku] back and people at Chelsea are good friends of mine so we are hopeful. But he is at the World Cup now and I think we will have to see what happens at the World Cup. Gareth Barry had a great season for us and I know the manager has spoken to him and I will meet with his people and we are hopeful that he will be there next season.”Source: SkySports.com"
The logical choice for Jose Mourinho and Chelsea is to work with a striker duo or rotation of Diego Costa and Romelu Lukaku with either Fernando Torres or Demba Ba as the third choice. However things are rarely so straightforward in world football and there are tough decisions to be made at Stamford Bridge but no matter what happens, hopefully Romelu Lukaku will be at Chelsea next year.
