Ex-Chelsea FC midfielder Joe Cole spoke about his old club and country teammate Frank Lampard and said that the 36 year old still has plenty to offer England. Lampard only made one appearance in the World Cup when he captained the England side in their final game against Costa Rice after they had already been eliminated.

Lampard was considered by many pundits and fans, Joe Cole included, to be the best player on the pitch for the Three Lions. This was supposed to be the World Cup where England’s next generation of stars would shine but it was Frank Lampard who shone the brightest against Los Ticos. At 36 he is obviously not in the long term plans of the England FA but he showed that he can still play at a high level.
Joe Cole on his old Chelsea teammate Frank Lampard:
"“I thought Frank Lampard was England’s best player (against Costa Rica). He looked a class player, which he is and, at 36, he has probably still got something left to offer England. You have a lot of players in the England team now who play short passes and move the ball quickly and Frank was so clever with his passing. We played the ball into him a few times and he immediately looked to get Daniel Sturridge in behind the Costa Rica defence.”Source: Chelsea-News.co"
Frank Lampard has yet to announce his decision on where or if he will play next year. Many signs point to him making a trip across the Atlantic and playing in the MLS for New York City FC but nothing is concrete yet. He also has offers from many clubs around Europe and elsewhere but we are all anxiously awaiting an announcement. Joe Cole and many others saw that he has plenty to offer any club that he joins and he proved it with his performance for the Three Lions.
