Italian super club Juventus currently have two of world footballs youngest stars in the making, but they may be forced to part with one of them. France’s Paul Pogba and Chile’s Arturo Vidal are both hotly sought after prospects following successful club and country campaigns, and both are particularly intriguing to Chelsea FC and Manchester United.

According to The Express, Chelsea may be able to derail Manchester Uniteds plans with their pursuit of Pogba.

Juventus have acquired the services of Alvaro Morata and Patrice Evra, both on large transfer fees and high wages, and therefore are looking to sell some of their current talent to balance their books. Manchester United are deeply interested in Vidal as Louis Van Gaal looks to reform the Mancunians, and Chelsea have long desired the services of Paul Pogba, the French young star.

As the Express report states, most teams in Italy running very tight ships financially, meaning even Juventus must sell off some assets now and then to pay for new signings. Selling Vidal OR Pogba would make enough room for the Morata and Evra signings,  therefore Juventus will mostly likely sell one to the highest bidder. As most everyone knows, Chelsea are (almost always) willing and able to pay more than most other teams thanks to owner Roman Abramovich’s billions in oil money.

The Old Lady of Turin have reportly told United that Vidal won’t leave Turin for less than 40M, and that despite wanting to keep Pogba due to his age and potential, 60M or a large sum of cash + Brazilian midfielder Ramires could tempt Juve to let Pogba depart.

It’s almost assured that Juventus will NOT sell both players this window, as they will be seeking their 4th consecutive scudetto title next season.

Personally, I feel if we can make a deal with Juventus that includes A) Chelsea acquiring Paul Pogba, B) Chelsea selling Ramires and C) ruining Manchester United’s transfer plans I’m all in favor of such a move.

Paul Pogba could develop into one of the most dominant players in world football and so if Chelsea can acquire him and simultaneously prevent a rival from improving, well then whats a couple million pounds more  Mr. Abramovich?
