Chelsea FC Striker Romelu Lukaku Officially Joins Everton FC

Chelsea FC striker Romelu Lukaku officially joined Everton FC today according to an announcement in a press conference and from the club’s Twitter page. Everton paid a club record £28million for the Belgian striker and he is certainly their highest profile signing ever. Here is the announcement and comments from both Romelu Lukaku and Everton manager Roberto Martinez on the signing.

"“I decided quickly I wanted to come back. Here I have the trust of the staff and supporters. I have a good relationship with the players. This is the place where I belong. I think I can improve in every aspect. My goalscoring is record is good but I want to get better in every area. Here is a good place to develop as a young player. We have an ambitious manager. This transfer has left Chelsea fans with mixed feelings as some loved Romelu Lukaku and others never liked his attitude in a Chelsea shirt. Whatever the case may have been, the deal is all but done and there is no use in wondering what could or should have been.
