A shirt that Michael Essien made his own during his time with Chelsea, but has since been unused in recent years. It perhaps tells us a lot about what Mourinho is thinking with his centre-back options that he has given youngster Kurt Zouma the number 5 in his first season with Chelsea. Many fans will be following how Mourinho chooses to utilise the youngster and will be buoyed by the example of Raphael Varane at Real Madrid, who despite being young himself, was thrust into the first eleven by Mourinho.

Terry and Cahill, #24 and #26 respectively, are the first choice centre-back pairing heading into the start of the season and Zouma taking #5 is certainly a vote of confidence from the manager. Do you think Zouma is ready for the Premier League?
