Romelu Lukaku Says More Silly Things About Chelsea FC

facebooktwitterreddit

In his latest comments about his move away from Chelsea FC, Romelu Lukaku thanked the club but said that he left because he did not want to be on the bench for another 10 years. This guy really does not know when to keep his mouth shut. It is one thing to move away from a club because you want a better opportunity or even more pay, but to make absurd statements about being on the bench is another thing.

This is simply another case of Romelu Lukaku putting his immaturity on display for the world to see. In one breath he thanks Chelsea for teaching him how to be a professional and in the next he makes a silly comment about riding the bench for 10 years. It is clear that Lukaku has learned little about being a professional or applying his work ethic to winning a place at Chelsea.

"“Things happen in football and sometimes it is not meant to be. Chelsea are a big club and sometimes it is difficult for young players to come through. But they gave me the opportunity to come to England.Chelsea are a big club and taught me how to be professional. When I came to England I was 18 and knew nothing about being professional. I was very ambitious but Chelsea taught me about a work ethics and winning mentality.I don’t have negative feelings about that football club. But I want to have a good career. Because in football sometimes a career is only 10 years and I didn’t want to spend 10 years on the bench.”-Romelu LukakuSource: Get West London"

Anytime Romelu Lukaku has been faced with some difficulty in his career so far he has complained and acted out about it. He misses a crucial penalty and decides he wants to go on loan and just this past summer he loses his starting place to Divock Origi and lashes out on the sideline. That is no way for a true professional to act and he has much growing up to do.
