Victor Moses May Not Be Loaned Out By Chelsea FC

One of the supposed foregone conclusions of this summer’s transfer window was that Chelsea FC winger Victor Moses would be sent out on loan to another Premier League club. With options like Eden Hazard, Andre Schurrle, Willian, and Mohamed Salah all ahead of him at the winger positions, Moses is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

Premier League clubs like Sunderland, Aston Villa, and West Ham have all reportedly been sniffing around for his services despite Moses having a poor season at Liverpool and a poor World Cup with Nigeria.

However the Premier League’s limit on foreign players over 25 on a squad may introduce some wrinkles to the situation and force Chelsea to keep Victor Moses in the squad this season. Rumors have suggested that the Blues will sell goalkeeper Petr Cech but with the club looking to possibly add another striker, they may have to cut someone else loose.

Jose Mourinho on Victor Moses:

"“We have one problem to resolve, that we have one extra foreign player at the moment and Victor is not a foreign player. Victor is from a position where we have many solutions. We have Hazard, Willian, Salah and Schürrle.Victor’s best position is from the sides, but he is English and at this moment we have one foreign player who has to leave. So, until the end of the month, we have to make that decision and Victor is involved in this process, and maybe stays or maybe leaves, but because he is home-grown he is something we have to analyze as well.”Source: Telegraph"

One solution would be to loan out Mohamed Salah instead of Victor Moses which may not be a bad idea. Salah gets some much needed playing time and Chelsea can buy a striker like Loic Remy that they desperately need. Whatever the solution is, there are some tough decisions to be made for Jose Mourinho and his position is not one to envy.
