Andre Schurrle Rules Out Transfer Away From Chelsea FC
After returning from his World Cup triumph, one of Andre Schurrle’s many rewards was unfortunately to be linked with a move away from Chelsea FC. He was linked primarily with a move to Atletico Madrid in order for Chelsea to comply with the Premier League’s foreign player limits.

Luckily for Chelsea fans it does not look like Andre Schurrle will be making any moves away from Stamford Bridge any time soon. He spoke to the media after the Burnley match and dismissed the rumors and said point blank that he is “happy at Chelsea” and that “this is where [he] wants to play”.
"“No, I am very happy at Chelsea. This is where I want to play, where I want to play for the fans. There is nothing more to say. I enjoyed the World Cup a lot, so I got out of that with a lot of confidence. I came back to Chelsea, and obviously had a very short break. I was only two and a half weeks at the ocean and could relax. But from zero to 100 [miles per hour] – I am hungry, I want to achieve something with Chelsea. I want to win titles with Chelsea. So I worked hard these two weeks. I worked a lot – extra for me as well. The only thing I can do is to work and give everything to be 100 per cent in the games. I think it was a good start for me [at Burnley], but of course we can be better. And when I am 100 per cent fit, there will be more.” – Andre SchurrleSource: Get West London"
Chelsea is a better club with Andre Schurrle on board and his exploits this summer in the World Cup raised his profile and the club’s as well. He showed a level of maturity and poise on football’s biggest stage and will be a tremendous asset to Chelsea and Jose Mourinho this season.
