For whatever reason FIFA has decided that just two weeks in to the Premier League season there will be an international break this weekend. The matches are all friendlies so they are no real consequence whatsoever unless a player suffers a long term injury which is often the case. Luckily for Chelsea fans Eden Hazard is out for this international break with some small niggling injuries.

It works out perfectly for Eden Hazard as he has not had many breaks the past few seasons. Between Chelsea’s deep runs in to many competitions and his exploits with the Belgian national team he has been a busy man. Another break before the fixtures start piling up is exactly what he and many of the other players need.
As the Tweet above mentioned, Romelu Lukaku will also miss the international break with another small injury but his brother and Thorgan Hazard are being called up to replace them. It is not a total like for like swap as Lukaku’s brother Jordan is a defender and not a striker but Thorgan is an attacking midfielder just like Eden.
The younger duo is still not a finished product but the fact that they are being called up for a friendly against Australia shows that Marc Wilmots and the Belgian federation believes in their potential. Thorgan is currently on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach and Jordan is still playing in Belgium for Oostende. They will both hopefully get their chance to sign for the Red Devils very soon and in Thorgan’s case, for Chelsea as well.
