One of the few drawbacks of having a squad full of senior internationals is that they have commitments to the national teams during the FIFA imposed breaks. A vast majority of Chelsea FC’s squad is being called out on international duty for friendlies and tournament qualifiers.
Here is the list of the Chelsea FC players who will be in action on Thursday, September 4th:
Two of Chelsea FC’s new signings Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas will be joining Cesar Azpilicueta in the Spanish national team as they face France in a high profile friendly. The match will take place in Paris and it is the first step to helping La Furia Roja recover from the nightmare that was the 2014 World Cup campaign. After this friendly the Spanish team will face Macedonia in a Euro 2016 qualifier on Monday.

In the French camp we have our latest signing Loic Remy playing for Les Bleus as a Chelsea FC player for the first time. The striker has yet to even make an appearance for Chelsea but hopefully he can return to Stamford Bridge having scored a goal or two. Remy may also face two of his other teammates in Branislav Ivanovic and Nemanja Matic when they take on Serbia on Monday.
Thibaut Courtois and Thorgan Hazard are in the Belgium squad for a friendly against Australia. Thorgan is in the squad after Eden Hazard pulled out of the match with a slight knock. The Red Devils were also due to face Israel in a Euro 2016 qualifier on Monday but that has been rescheduled for next March.
Finally we have one of the summer signings Mario Pasalic receiving a callup to the Croation senior squad. Hopefully he can make his senior debut against Cyprus today or in the Euro 2016 qualifier against Malta next Tuesday.
