Chelsea FC made some big time signings this offseason and addressed major needs in the squad with the additions of Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas. For Eden Hazard, the signing of Diego Costa was most important to him because it can take some of the pressure off him to be the main scorer.

Chelsea FC’s Eden Hazard was the club’s primary offensive outlet last season and teams found that if they shut him down, they could shut down the Chelsea attack. This was particularly evident against teams that liked to be compact and pack things in defensively. This season that task will be much more difficult with the help of Fabregas and Diego Costa.
Eden Hazard on the club’s new signings:
"“It’s true they’re the best players. Costa can score every game and Cesc is one of the best midfielders in the world. Cesc can score as well and make good assists, just like the first game against Burnley where he made a beautiful pass for Andre Schurrle. It’s very important for the team and he can help us win.Last season I scored a lot of goals and maybe this season I can make a lot more passes forward because Costa is one of the best and he can score. It’s my job to score but it’s also my job to make assists as well. I can now concentrate on assists. I’m ready to be better than last season. When I’m on the pitch I try to give my best. The new players have settled in very good. I enjoy playing with the best players in the squad and I’m very happy.”Source: The Daily Mail"
The Chelsea attack has already far more dynamic this season with the latest additions pulling the strings and finishing off attacking moves with aplomb. Eden Hazard can and should still be the focal point in the club’s attack but Fabregas and Costa certainly take the pressure off the young Belgian. Their presence makes it all the more difficult for teams to focus on Eden Hazard and that is always a good thing.
