Chelsea FC vs. Everton Goal Analysis
By Mike Adams
2nd Chelsea FC Goal (3’) – Before Everton could have a chance to find their bearings the Blues had scored again, this time the goal coming from defender Branislav Ivanovic. Another quick sequence began with Fàbregas doing well to dribble the ball out of the defensive half before passing wide to Ramires. A long pass from the Brazilian came to Costa who held possession atop the box, allowing his teammates to join the attack. Costa crossed to Ramires, in the arc, who then played the ball into the box to a ..probably offside Ivanovic. The Serbian then turned and shot past a helpless Tim Howard for the second goal that stunned the Everton supporters.
This season has so far seen Brana move forward from his right back position often and provide another option in attack. Sometimes playing the role of second striker alongside Diego Costa, Ivanovic’s play adds another offensive facet that teams are forced to deal with.
