Chelsea FC vs. Everton Goal Analysis
By Mike Adams
4th Chelsea Goal (74’) – Chelsea replied to Everton’s goal and pushed the difference back to two goals very quickly. Diego Costa again had control of the ball on the left corner of the penalty box before passing to the centrally advancing Ramires. The Brazilian quickly swept the ball across to Matic, venturing up from his defensive position to join in the attack. Everton’s center backs were playing deep allowing Matic to take his time in preparing for the shot. A great left-footed strike snuck past the block of Distin and inside the post for Chelsea’s 4th goal. The Serbian accepted the invitation to shoot and did well to score a goal not often seen from defensive midfielders.
