2nd Swansea Goal (86’)

A late second goal came from Swansea just before full time, with Jonjo Shelvey getting on the scoresheet. Poor, end of game defending gave the former Liverpool player an open run on goal, which he showed good composure to score. Two unsuccessful up field challenges by center back pair John Terry and Gary Cahill left a large lane in the middle of the field open for Bony to deliver the pass into the path of Shelvey. Azpilicueta, playing centrally, noticed that nobody was covering Nathan Dyer on the right wing and moved out wide, leaving nobody to defend centrally. Shelvey’s long run began near the halfway line and could’ve been tracked by Ramires but the Brazilian did not track back with his marker. The goal slightly put a damper upon the celebration in Stamford Bridge in the remaining few minutes of the game before the referee sounded the final whistle, leaving Chelsea alone at the top of table before their match against Man City next weekend.
