Chelsea FC: Didier Drogba Praises Diego Costa’s Desire
Chelsea FC have been looking for a world class striker to lead the line ever since Didier Drogba departed for China in the summer of 2012. They appear to have found the man they were looking for in Diego Costa despite also bringing back the big Ivorian to Stamford Bridge. The two strikers share in them a drive to score goals and a desire to decimate opposing defenses.

Chelsea fans have seen that desire in Drogba in matches where he single-handedly won them for the Blues by bullying defenders with his strength and confused them with his trickery. Diego Costa is slowly becoming that sort of striker for Chelsea though it will take him some time match Drogba’s record in cup finals and big time matches.
Drogba spoke about Diego Costa after the draw against Schalke and said. ” Diego Costa is very good. For him to start the season having come from a different league and to recreate the same thing he was doing in Spain is fantastic. He is enjoying playing here and being with us and he is the striker we needed this season. When I look at him I can see the desire to win every challenge and to score goals. He is hungry for goals and that is the best thing for a team like us.”
If Diego Costa can learn one thing from Drogba, it should be the love for Chelsea as a club and a desire to win trophies for the fans at Stamford Bridge. Drogba established a fantastic connection with the supporters and they serenade him every chance they get. Diego Costa’s Chelsea career is off to a wonderful start but he still has a long way to go to match what Drogba did in Chelsea blue.
