Arsenal FC’s Wage Bill Higher Than Chelsea FC’s for First Time In a Decade

For the first time in over a decade, Arsenal have a higher wage bill than Chelsea.

Arsenal released their financial report for the previous season and listed their wage bill at £166.4 million. This does not take into account their new signings from this summer’s transfer window to their wage bill is set for a definite increase.

In an article published by The Telegraph, the wage bill is expected to increase by £15 million, which would push the bill to at least £180 million. The last time Chelsea published their financial report, they had a wage bill of £176 million, and with summer departures of Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, Samuel Eto’o and David Luiz, that number is set for a big decrease.

Only the Manchester clubs have higher wage bills.
