It is no secret that Cesc Fabregas has a special place in his heart for his former clubs. He grew up at Barecelona but truly became the player he is today during his spell at Arsenal. In that time he took part in a Champions League Final, won the FA Cup, and became the club’s captain at just 21 years old. Fabregas told The Guardian in an exclusive interview that Arsenal is in his heart and that is “always will be”.

Fabregas made the move from Arsenal back to his boyhood club of Barcelona in 2011 for what appeared to be very sentimental reasons. He had spent his youth at the Catalan club and it was his chance to return and ideally take over for Xavi and Andres Iniesta in the center of midfield. Things did not work out quite the way Fabregas had hoped and this summer he found himself doing what was previously unimaginable, signing with Chelsea FC.
"“Arsenal is in my heart and always will be. I don’t know if I’ll have the opportunity to go back and play there one day, or maybe after football. It’s a club that is always going to be there and will always open its doors to me. The club’s like a family so even if it wasn’t as a coach, I’m sure they’d give me the chance to play a role. Sol [Campbell] is there now. Arsenal help a lot with the formation of coaches. [Dennis] Bergkamp also went there two, three times a week when he was doing his coaching badges. In that sense it’s a lovely club and there might be the chance to do something with them.”-Cesc FabregasSource: The Guardian"
In his short time at Chelsea Football Club, Cesc Fabregas has proven to be every bit the world class footballer that he was at Arsenal and Barcelona. He has quickly won over any skeptical Chelsea fans with his play and what he says about Arsenal is irrelevant. It does not matter what club he truly loves or what is in his heart, all that matters is that when he puts on the Chelsea shirt he puts that club first.
