Chelsea FC defender Gary Cahill is the Blues’ sole representative in the England squad for their Euro 2015 qualifiers against San Marino and Estonia. He has in a short time become the first choice centerback for both England and Chelsea and has even been promoted to the role of vice-captain. Cahill replaced another Chelsea man in Frank Lampard as the vice-captain and has shown a level of leadership and calm under pressure that England needs.

The two squads England face in their upcoming qualifiers are San Marino and Estonia. Not exactly European football powerhouses but the match in Estonia could be a little trickier than the walloping sure to be delivered to San Marino. San Marino has played England four times and have a goal difference of -26 so expect a downpour of goals for Gary Cahill and Three Lions.
Estonia has only played England twice in its footballing history and they boast a slightly better goal difference of -6. Roy Hodgson could have taken the England U21 side for both matches and still end the week with two comfortable victories and six points in their Euro 2015 qualifying group. These matches could be a good chance for Hodgson to try a few new things and hopefully that means not playing Gary Cahill for both matches and allowing him to rest a bit.
