Gary Neville is one of the few pundits that Chelsea fans tolerate and it is easy to see why. He is fair and balanced in his commentary about the club and had one of the great calls in football of
against Barcelona in the 2012 Champions League semifinals.
Gary Neville on Chelsea FC’s performance against Arsenal:
"“Chelsea seemed to be in control of everything in the game. It was comfortable. I didn’t think Arsenal played badly – I thought they started the game well, as Jose Mourinho said – but you never felt Chelsea were in danger of not winning. You always felt Chelsea had a gear to go up to if they needed to, while John Obi Mikel came on in the second half and they seemed to get stronger and sterner.“The big moments were taken by Chelsea – Hazard got the penalty with a great run and then the combination between Cesc Fabregas and Costa in the second half was a fantastic goal. They’re at a higher level than Arsenal.”Source: Sky Sports"
Chelsea FC was indeed in complete control of the match against Arsenal but there were some nervy moments when the Gunners were on the attack. At the end it was a comfortable victory considering the Blues lead for the majority of the match and Arsenal did not register a single shot on target. Shutting a team out is an achievement but not allowing a shot on target is complete control.
