There are several boxers out there that pledge allegiance to the Chelsea FC flag. Names like Darren Barker and George Groves come to mind but now you can add one more to the list, youngster Sohail “Showstar” Ahmad. Sohail Ahmad is a Chelsea FC superfan and he takes on Kristian Dochev on October 11 in a light welterweight match at York Hall.

Sohail Ahmad was born in Afghanistan but was raised in Earls Court, London and has been a Chelsea FC supporter for most of his life. He is entering his fifth professional fight and is undefeated in his first four matches. Ahmad is a rising star on the boxing scene and Chelsea FC has also taken notice of the young star and has made arrangements to feature him in a match day program sometime this season.

"Unbeaten light welterweight, Sohail ‘Showstar’ Ahmad 4(1)-0-0 takes on Kristian Dochev 11(4)-18(3)-0 on October 11 at the York Hall, London.The fight is part of a packed Goodwin Sports show titled ‘The Natural Time’ featuring three title fights headlined by Prizefighter winner, Larry ‘The Natural’ Ekundayo as he enters into his first title fight when he takes on Stanislav Nenkov for the International Masters welterweight title.Londoner Ahmad, originally from Afghanistan, is coming into the fight off the back of a stoppage win over Graham Fearn just one month ago in September at the same setting for all four of his professional fights to date, London’s York Hall.This fight for opponent, Dochev will be the 30th contest since his pro debut in February 2011 against Yordan Vasilev in Rousse, Bulgaria losing by unanimous decision. Since then, British boxing prospects Keiron Farrell, Rakeem Noble, Ohara Davies, Luke Paddock and Adam Dingsdale have all been taken the distance with the 21-year-old Bulgarian known as ‘The Warrior’ from Razgrad.A second consecutive stoppage win for Sohail Ahmad will certainly issue a warning to the rest of the division, however, Dochev has four TKO’s on his ledger and can pose a serious threat to any opponent expecting an easy ride.Commenting on his forthcoming foe, Ahmad said, “It’s a tough fight for me to date and I need to stay focused and stick to the game plan and need to learn from this fight.
